Comic Con 2022
Disney+ kicked off the upcoming launch of “American Born Chinese” based on the genre-hopping graphic novel by Luen Yang with an elaborate celebration during Comic Con 2022 for press, influencers and select fans. The event featured authentic Chinese inspired décor, cuisine and entertainment and exclusive clips of the show as introduced by executive producers Kelvin Yu and Melvin Mar. Guests were treated to a number of incredible live performances by Chinese Lion Dancers and Martial Artists throughout the evening. Other activations included a Chinese Calligraphy Artist, book signing as well as a branded photo moment complete with actual show props. Gorgeous Asian florals and bamboo elements were brought in to further enhance the space.
