Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children Premiere After Party

On Monday September 26, 2016 THE FIRM, formerly known as Samantha Sackler Productions designed and produced the Red Carpet Arrivals and Movie Premiere After Party for Tim Burton’s Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children.
In partnership with Saks Fifth Avenue, the iconic store was served as the location for both the red carpet arrivals and after party. The design of the window displays at the flagship store were inspired by the film and featured Marc Jacob’s Fall 2016 collection, which served as the perfect backdrop.
For the after party, guests were taken inside Saks Fifth Avenue to the 8th floor. The transformation of the women’s shoe department on that floor to an event space was incredible. Hundreds of shoes were removed and a blank canvas was given to THE FIRM to work their magic.
THE FIRM team wanted the guests to be immersed in a whimsical environment inspired by the movie. THE FIRM challenged Tantawan Bloom to create 8 unique floral pieces that each told their own story. The masterpieces ranged from having upside down tulips hung from branches to a unique bird nest arrangement with floating butterflies. A large floral replica of the Miss Peregrine’s bird symbol was created to serve as the focal piece in the room. To emulate the textured feel of feathers, carnations dipped in blank ink were used to produce the centerpiece.
And to tie in the gorgeous window displays downstairs, antique gold frames were hung on multiple hedge walls around the perimeter of the space, which featured portraits from the movie.
Designer 8 Event Furniture Rental provided their beautiful Royce Bars which added an elegant touch to the party. And for the final details, bird cages and topiaries were spread throughout the space which helped tie in the entire design of the party.
