On January 7, 2015 fans gathered at AMC Empire 25 in New York for the Taken 3 Fan Event. In the latest installment of the Taken series, Brian Mills (Liam Neeson) thinks he is finally at peace with his past and has a new-found relationship with his ex-wife (Famke Janssen) and daughter (Maggie Grace). His time with his family is tragically cut short when he is accused of a ruthless murder he never committed or witnessed. As he is tracked and pursued, Mills brings out his skill sets to find the true killer and clear his name.
In conjunction with Twentieth Century Fox, THE FIRM, formerly known as Samantha Sackler Productions, took over part of the AMC Empire in New York to create the ultimate fan experience. Each of the fans received a Taken 3 beanie and movie poster before walking into the event. Hundreds of fans filled the fourth floor of the AMC anxiously awaiting the stars arrivals. Garrett Vogel from Z100’s “Elvis Duran and the Z100 Morning Show” pumped up the crowd and gave away autographed prizes. Fans were quizzed on Taken facts and played fun games including, who could best impersonate Liam Neeson. Maggie Grace was the first talent to join Garrett on stage and walked the red carpet. Following Maggie was director Olivier Megaton, then Famke Janssen. And for the finale, Liam Neeson and Forest Whitaker took the stage together getting the crowd eager to watch the film. Fans were able to get autographs and selfies with each of the stars before being one the first people to enjoy the film with complimentary popcorn and sodas. It was certainly a memorable evening for all the Taken fans!
