Transcendence Premiere
Director Wally Pfister’s new movie, Transcendence, starring Johnny Depp will keep you on the edge of your seat as Dr. Will Caster (Depp) works to create a machine that exhibits a full range of human emotions and has the combined intelligence of everything ever known. On April 10, 2014 THE FIRM, formerly known as Samantha Sackler Productions, transformed the Hammer Museum in Westwood
Its clean, sleek lines complemented the architecture and modular floor plan of the Hammer. The menu featured a combination of Molecular Gastronomy and comfort food at each of the buffet stations. THE FIRM also brought in a mixologist to create an innovative and unconventional custom cocktail menu. IBM supplied a huge super computer for the guests to interact with and were encouraged to enjoy the liquid nitrogen ice cream bar, a guest favorite for the night. Tying all aspects together were the structural and contemporary floral arrangements, created by using vibrant green succulents broken up with pops of stunning purple Vandas.
