Whiskey Tango Foxtrot Premiere

On Tuesday, March 1st, 2016 Paramount Pictures released their latest film, Whiskey Tango Foxtrot, based on the book “The Taliban Shuffle: Strange Days in Afganistan and Pakistan” by Kim Barker. The film tells the story of Kim Baker (Tina Fey), a journalist who recounts her wartime coverage in Afghanistan and Pakistan.

Paramount enlisted the help of the THE FIRM, formerly known as Samantha Sackler Productions, to create a red carpet and after party to celebrate their new release. Outside the AMC Loews Lincoln Square 13 theater, a large white tent was constructed on the sidewalk to create a gorgeous red carpet area. Co-stars Margot Robbie and Billy Bob Thornton joined Tina Fey on the red carpet. The 36’ step and repeat was placed at the entrance of the carpet, which featured the citrus yellow logo on a black background. The remaining length of the carpet had oversized bus shelter posters in an 8’ high black mounted frame. As guest continued into the lobby of the theater, there was an additional three floating bus shelters with red carpet for final interviews before the cast went into the theater.

Once the premiere had concluded, guests were directed to the world renowned Tavern on the Green in Central Park for the after party. Guests were invited into the gathering space that had a beautiful warm amber glow and truly captured the spirit of Central Park. The tables were dressed with yellow floral centerpieces of callas, roses, and ranunculus to complement the existing aesthetic. As guest enjoyed the hearty menu and drinks, they continued to tango the night away into the late hours of the night!
